2 Year Checkup

I know, I am a month behind on updating my blog...oh well.
Just thought I would share these cute pictures and the numbers from Eva's two year checkup at the doctor.
She weighed 28 pounds.
She was 35 inches tall. Pretty sure she'll be taller than her mommy some day!!
Eva did really good at the doctor. She had to get one shot in each leg and didn't even flinch! She is a tough girl. Eva is a very energetic two year old. We have lots of fun with her. She loves to dance around in the kitchen with the radio on. She is a pretty smart girl and keeps us on our toes. We love her so much!!
Eva will be lots of fun Christmas morning opening presents. She likes to look at the ornaments on the Christmas tree. We have been teaching her the story of the Nativity and she loves Baby Jesus. Getting Eva's pictures done was quite the ordeal! Luckily, they turned out good. I redid her hair three times after we got there! At one point, we went into the bathroom to get some water on her hair and she ended up with water all over her shirt--the one for the pictures. Thank goodness they had the blow dryer hand dryers in that bathroom. I had to take her shirt off and hold it under the dryer so she could still wear it for the pictures!

Eva's 2nd Birthday

Can't believe it, but she turned 2 last month!!We had a party on Eva's birthday. We had lots of family and friends come over to help celebrate. Eva got spoiled with lots of great presents. Brian barbecued elk burgers. Later we went to a football game at ISU - Eva loves football!!
Aunt McKenzie made this awesome cake!! She did such a good job. Thanks McKenzie!!Aunt Marcy made ice cream haystacks to go along with the barn and animals. Thanks Marcy!

And thank you to everyone for coming to wish Eva a happy birthday!

Thanksgiving

We went to my sister Marcy's house in Logan for Thanksgiving this year. My parents, my brother Josh and his family, and my Aunt Debbie & Uncle Mike and cousin Staci came, too. We had turkey dinner with some of Marcy's friends, so it was a big party!
Of course, before our feast, we had to run our 5K. It was great...and cold. I ran it in about 34 minutes. Here is a picture of everyone who ran and biked in our race.Eva had lots of fun with her cousins. They are all really going to miss Aunt Marcy for the next year and a half. She just got her mission call to Birmingham, Alabama!! We are so excited for her!
