Lindsay's Growing Up, Too~The Bengal Tri~Easter Weekend Pictures

Yep, that's the big 30 for me!! I had a great birthday! Thanks to everyone who came over for dinner, or called to wish me well. We had a fun day. And of course, Brian made me cornbread for my cake. Yummy!! Happy cousins - Eva & Paisley
Brian and Ely with their matching ties. So cute!! Every father and son should have matching ties. Ours came from www.myfavoritepal.com.
Coloring Easter eggs. We decorated about 4 dozen!
Brian did the Bengal Triathlon Easter weekend. He did a great job! He improved his time from last year by 6.5 minutes. We were so proud!! This is after the race.
Ely during the big Easter egg hunt at Mimi's house. The weather was so nice! But, of course, today it is snowing again!! When is Spring/Summer coming???
Eva was so excited to see her Easter basket Sunday morning. I tried to catch her "surprised" face. She said, "The fluffy bunny came!"
Eva is such a beautiful little girl! Here she is in her pretty Easter dress from Gma and Gpa Anderson. She loved it when she saw it.

Veggies are good in everything!!

Brian saw this comic the other day and thought of me!!

Just so you know, I do try to add vegetables to things, like cauliflower in mashed potatoes, or sweet potatoes in spaghetti sauce, but I don't make my family eat desserts made with anything weird. And it's not like I'm trying to "hide" the vegetables, I just try to make it easier for us to eat more vegetables every day.

I guess I don't really need to explain myself. I'm not the only one that does this, am I??

The Grimms are growing up!

Look at me...I can sit up all by myself!!Ely is six months old now and changing quickly. He is a happy boy and brings us so much joy.

Ely had his six month checkup yesterday. The doctor said he looks great.

He weighs 17 pounds 13 ounces (50th percentile).

He is 27 1/2 inches tall (80th percentile).

His head is 46.2 cm (96th percentile!!).

Eva wanted to get weighed while we were there too, so the nice nurse let her stand on the scale. She weighed 35 pounds. She hasn't gained weighed since she turned 3, but she's sure getting taller!

Ely & Daddy. Ely's first bite of cereal. He just started eating oatmeal cereal a couple weeks ago. I try to give it to him for "dinner" after he nurses, but he's usually not very interested. He loves Mom's milk the most!! Eva likes to try and help feed Ely. She is a big helper (sometimes). Ely & Mommy.Ely loves milk so much we give it to him in a giant bottle. Just kidding!! He just likes to chew on my water bottle - and anything else he can get his hands on.Eva & Ely...waiting for the doctor. Eva loves her little brother and he loves to watch her. She can always make him smile. The doctor suggested I try some vegetables and see if Ely is more interested in eating. So, last night we tried some sweet potatoes that I had mashed and put in the freezer. He didn't make a funny face or anything. He ate a few bites and then lost interest. Oh well, it's not like he is underweight!!
