Look at me...I can sit up all by myself!!

Ely is six months old now and changing quickly. He is a happy boy and brings us so much joy.
Ely had his six month checkup yesterday. The doctor said he looks great.
He weighs 17 pounds 13 ounces (50th percentile).
He is 27 1/2 inches tall (80th percentile).
His head is 46.2 cm (96th percentile!!).
Eva wanted to get weighed while we were there too, so the nice nurse let her stand on the scale. She weighed 35 pounds. She hasn't gained weighed since she turned 3, but she's sure getting taller!
Ely & Daddy.

Ely's first bite of cereal. He just started eating oatmeal cereal a couple weeks ago. I try to give it to him for "dinner" after he nurses, but he's usually not very interested. He loves Mom's milk the most!!

Eva likes to try and help feed Ely. She is a big helper (sometimes).

Ely & Mommy.

Ely loves milk so much we give it to him in a giant bottle.
Just kidding!! He just likes to chew on my water bottle - and anything else he can get his hands on.

Eva & Ely...waiting for the doctor. Eva loves her little brother and he loves to watch her. She can always make him smile.

The doctor suggested I try some vegetables and see if Ely is more interested in eating. So, last night we tried some sweet potatoes that I had mashed and put in the freezer. He didn't make a funny face or anything. He ate a few bites and then lost interest. Oh well, it's not like he is underweight!!
