Happy Halloween from the Grimms

Eva made a very cute little Tinkerbell. She had fun dressing up and getting all the treats she got!
Ely didn't really have a costume, but he did have some vampire pajamas and a pumpkin onesie that he looked great in!Ely is 4 weeks old today and growing quickly. On Tuesday (the 26th) he weighed 10 pounds 15 ounces...I am sure he is well over 11 now!!

Two Weeks Old...and Brian Got a Deer!!

Eva loves her little brother, Ely
(pronounced Ee-lie for anyone who wasn't sure).Ely had his two week checkup yesterday (was two weeks old on Sunday). The doctor said he was perfect; of course, we already knew that!
He weighed 9 pounds 14 ounces. He is in the 78th percentile for weight.
He measured 22 inches long. He is in the 88th percentile for height.
Ely is growing so fast! He is a great baby. He loves to sleep and eat and is on a pretty good schedule. Thankfully, he sleeps really well at night. We are very blessed. Brian got his deer, so we'll have something to eat for the next year! Hope it's good!! Now he has moved on to pheasant season. Besides hunting and hanging out with us, Brian is studying hard for his classes; that keeps him pretty busy.

Chalk one up for the Grandsons!!

Here are a few pictures...
I walked in the Run With the Big Dogs 5K on Saturday and pushed Eva in the stroller. (Brian ran the race with Dutch.) I think that might have helped me start my labor! We went down to Hazelton Saturday night and stayed the night at my parent's house. Sunday morning I woke up to a contraction at about 3 a.m. I started having them about every 15 minutes, trying to sleep in between. Brian woke up at 7:30 and I told him we should probably go home. So, we left Eva with my parents and headed back. We were at home for awhile and then went to have my midwife check me at 11:30. She said I was a good 5 and 100%, so we walked over to Labor & Delivery to check in. Everything went well and I was able to make it with no medication or anything again, so I was very happy...not that it was easy! At 5:02 p.m. on Sunday, Oct 3rd, Brian announced proudly announced that we had Ely Thomas Grimm. Good job to everyone who guessed boy!!
He weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is a good eater and a good sleeper. He has all ten fingers and all ten toes and is a very healthy boy. The new big sister. She is warming up to the idea! We are so blessed to now have two beautiful and healthy children.
